Presented by Laura Lundquist, PT, Registered International Sport Physical Therapist
Laura completed her undergraduate studies with Honours in Biology from Mount Allison University in 2001 and with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2003. She has since completed post-graduate courses in manual and manipulative therapy, acupuncture and sport physiotherapy. She holds the highest level of Canadian certification in both manual (hands-on treatment) and sport physiotherapy.
Laura’s passion is helping people return to or maintain function despite an injury or illness. Her experience in sport physiotherapy and private practice orthopedics has given her a unique perspective and ability to help people achieve these goals. She has a particular interest in helping people maintain a healthy level of physical activity despite normal age-related changes that happen to us all… this was how the idea for Zoomers Physiotherapy and Health Solutions was born!
Zoomers is excited to offer CARP-NS members a 50% discount off Club Z memberships for the month of June…. we want to help Nova Scotians come out of the COVID crisis with better strength & mobility!
Our unique, Club Z program offers fitness classes for older adults that are led by physiotherapists. Our classes are designed to build strength, balance and mobility. With 3 different levels of difficulty, there is truly something for everyone!
If you’re not sure what would help you optimize your health, booking a “Fit For Life Assessment” with one of our physiotherapists is a great start. They will review your current activity level, goals and do a physical screening for strength, balance and mobility concerns. Think of it like your eye or dental check up… but for your physical health!
To join Club Z or book a Fit For Life Assessment, reach out to the clinic at 902-453-1525. In the meantime, be sure to follow us on FaceBook, @zoomershealth or find us on YouTube (Zoomers Physio) where we share a lot of great tips & tricks for optimizing your health!
