How do I find an honest mover for my parents who live in another province? https://www.mover.net/find-a-mover   punch in the postal code or city and you’ll see all the certified professional moving companies that have been vetted by CAM within a 100 km radius

How do I know I am getting a fair price?

Get a minimum of three written quotes from 3 different sources/moving companies – and not all from online.  Some movers will say they can save you time and get some other moving companies to provide them with a quote and they’ll pass them along to you.  Scam.  You can request a quote from a CAM mover by going on https://www.mover.net/find-a-mover or contact CAM and we can set you up with 3 movers for estimates.

What do I ask the mover to find out how my home and belongings are looked after?

What happens if:

  • The trailer gets in an accident, rolls over, catches on fire and everything inside is lost.
  • Hole in the trailer and it rains and my stuff gets wet?
  • The mover’s damaged my walls or flooring?
  • Something gets broken or lost?
  • I do the packing of everything instead of the movers?

Make sure you talk to your moving company and find out what happens if something goes wrong.  Movers try their best, but sometimes things happen.
